Is 20% the maximum recycled content for Keder?

Not as a universal rule. In our engineers’ tests, 20% recycled content was the upper limit at which the tested Keder formulations maintained stable product quality. This is the result of our testing, rather than a fixed limit for every material formulation.

In those tests, increasing recycled content beyond 20% affected product quality. Adding more recycled material is therefore not simply a matter of changing the percentage: the finished Keder still needs to deliver consistent performance in use.

We generally recommend choosing the material ratio according to your application requirements. A formulation suitable for one product may not suit another, and 20% should not be treated as the target for every order. Where consistent sewing performance, dimensions or frame fit are especially important, the material choice should reflect those priorities.
